Sometime, Tuesday night, my close companion, who was suffering from complications that she bravely kept from me, died suddenly. I did not discover her death until later, Wednesday, when I arrived at her residence after work. I found her on the floor, totaly unresponsive. I immediately tried emergency first aid, but there was nothing anyone could do. She had been gone for several hours.
I lost a close friend .. a companion .. the one I shared my deepest secrets with and who was an integral part of my life. We spent so many memorable hours together. In fact, we did almost everything together .. We played games, chatted, met new people, explored new places. We were inseperable. You could almost say that I couldn't go on without her. Despite this tragedy, I kept up a cheerfull appearance at work. No one there knows of my loss. I even posted to the list as my usual happy-go-lucky self .. not wanting to say anything until I knew more about what was going to happen. But, this evening I realised it's time to begin moving on, which is why I am excited to announce that she is being replaced with a shiney new AMD 1800+ XP powered system with 512 Megs of DDR RAM. I am saddened by her sudden, untimely loss, when her CPU fan suddenly stopped and her Athlon Thunderbird processor and her motherboard overheated, but I understand that's life. Nothing is forever. She is gone, but not forgotten. I will cherish the memories and she will always have a special place in my heart.
