If you read global news and analysis, Russia's recent actions have been in
response to an increasingly aggressive US that as far as they are concerned
is actively moving against them.A US that has sought to militarise breakaway
states and install Anti-Missile and other military technology within the
borders of those countries.

So now they are going into the US' back yard and doing the same thing. And
Putin asked the rhetorical question, How would the US feel if it went to
South America to 'render aid' with Aircraft Carriers. And that's exactly what
he did, figuratively.

The US tried to have Chavez killed, and has actively supported the
opposition party in Venezuela.
Chavez was democratically elected on more than one occasion in elections
where he opened his doors to all international agencies to review the
elections. They were declared fair.

So yes, when Bush's foreign policy of isolation, alienation and threats
results in countries who have been labeled 'evil'/'terrorist banding
together to stand against a common enemy, then hell yes it is Bush's fault.
Bush did not create a safer world, he created a far more dangerous world.

And please don't try to twist this to imply that I somehow support
everything Chavez does, or agree with all his ideas.I certainly don't agree
with him becoming a nuclear power. But then Bush has scuttled the whole
Nuclear non proliferation idea as well, hasn't he.
