Portland better get an NHL team here in the next couple years. Unfortunately, the NHL season directly overlaps with the one pro sport we do have, basketball. Still, it was a tease when they floated the idea of moving the Penguins here while pushing for a new arena in Pittsburgh. Guess I'm stuck with WHL hockey again this season and whatever they show on Versus. At least our WHL team can't get any worse this season after barely winning a game the last two seasons. Go Winterhawks?!?
Trivia point: Portland was home to the first American team in the Stanely Cup Finals. The Portland Rosebuds in 1916.
