What is he talking about? Europe is facing its own financial storm. Japan
spent a decade in a banking recession. Half of Asia was almost wiped out ten
years ago in a banking crisis, Russia was almost wiped out in the
after-effects. Which countries exactly does he mean?

On the larger point, everyone has understood for twenty years that the 21st
century would be known as the Asian century, as China, India, and the
economies of Southeast Asia worked to build industrialized economies.
