kinda like when your teenager who is a new driver stays out later than expected, and you're really getting worried, then he/she finally gets home, and you're really upset, so you let them have it (verbally), then you're relieved that they're ok, then you're upset again that they put you through all that, then it passes and you're ok again (hoping there isn't a next time...)
