You are welcome to disagree Robert. I read a fair bit of the report
and substantially disagree with you. The report was not politically
motivated, the investigation had bipartisan support, the investigator
was independent and the behavior documented in it was unethical and
shameful. The report lays out chapter and verse what law the
investigator believes was violated. But as well you know,
investigators are not supposed to lay out proposed punishments. That
job is for prosecutors. The investigator forwarded on his findings to
prosecutors who will then decide whether to file legal charges or not
and what punishments to ask for if they decide to file.

And I'm sure that Todd Palin going to talk to the police chief of
Wasilla the *day after she was elected governor* to tell him that the
trooper in question had better not ever get a job in Wasilla was in no
way meant to send any sort of signal about how the governor-elect
likes to play ball.

Abuse of power isn't an extraordinary thing, unfortunately. I find it
laughable though if you think that this isn't exactly what was going
on here.
