Happy Birthday Scott. For that, I will describe to you my birthday present from my father in 1977 (11th birthday).
I unwrapped the pretty birthday wrapping paper from around an empty paper towel roll, and found inside a rolled up poster. I unfurled it, with my head spinning from the possibilities. Sports? Music? A supermodel? What was it? Inside was a beautifully detailed colored pencil drawing of a pair of worn cowboy boots with a cowboy hat sitting on top at a skewed angle, and a riata coiled around the soles. A very nice drawing my father had done, but I didn't get it, and turned to him and asked "What is it?" His responded, deadpan "A Dallas Cowboy with the sh&t kicked out of him." LOL!
