We've not done a book, but Kodak.com has done a fine job for our calendars and cards. I'm actually pretty sure that the iPhoto "service" is actually just the Kodak service rebranded (in any case this Apple isn't managing that service themselves, but outsourcing to one of the general photo sites). My bride tells me that she's heard that Shutterfly is better for bound books however, but we've never actually seen either.
