Doesn't "The One" refer to Jesus?

It was those who voted for Bush. Especially and without pity if they
did it twice. (*they* ruined my joke! j/k)

Congress and local judges and whatnot are important too, but that
presidential one... well, it's symbolic. Representative, maybe.

It's bad enough The Onion nailed his first term, before he started.
We put him in there for "4 more years".
And his whole second campaign was based on Fear from the first, for
Christ's sake!

A lot can be done in 8 (look at Clinton, with partial control), not so
much in two (especially with partial control), but a crap-load should
have been done in 8, with 6 of 'em being near unlimited power.

And still you are blaming Democrats for all our problems?!?! That is
crazy, Sam.

I don't really want to blame-- well, I *want* to blame, but I know the
constructive thing is to teach-- however the want, the selfish want
related sorta to "I told you so" keeps surfacing.
And instead of just say'n "I know, I made a mistake, stop reminding
me, asshole", which would probably go a long way towards peace (heh),
it's "the *real* fault lies in the Democrat's hands" or "Clinton set
all this up before he left office" or some other rationalization.

It's sad that the Republicans can throw Bush under a bus, and yet not
really admit do having anything to do with what went down.

This is a team effort, Sam.

When we vote, we're not doing that old "three executioners pulling
switches, only one is live, but that way none of them need feel
responsible" deal. It's not like a firing-squad, where some of them
are blanks, so, perhaps it wasn't you.

We blame the people who represent us quite a bit, but, hell, who the
fuck put them there? Us (and lots of money, but that's another
story). We need to be able to admit when things are bad, so we can
fix them.

And then we need to fix them, after we admit they are bad (amazingly,
this part can sometimes just never get done).

And it's not all about just one person-- but it can be all about just
one person. The people at the top doing bad, enables those below to
do bad, and not feel too bad about it. When we support that
behavior...

I had no idea our candidates attire, and opinions thereof, were so
important to you. :-P

Honestly, I've got to say I'm pretty proud of the folks on this list.
I think a lot of lists would have had people threatening violence to
each other by this point. All we've done is get intermittently nasty
to one another. Which is still lame, in a sense, but still. =]
