The crisis was caused by forcing lenders to provide sub-prime mortgages to people that couldn't pay them back. Not by repealing the Glass-Steagall Act. This was controlled by the democrats and they fought the problem all along as they did the SS crisis. Yes, Bush is president and he tried to convince them as did McCain but to know avail.
Just imagine a democrat president with a super majority in congress and the senate. It doesn't look good. At least Obama's already claiming failure through Biden so we know he's a true leader.
