LOL, reminds me of reading God's Politics by Jim Wallace (Why the Right Gets it 
Wrong and the Left Doesn't Get It). You may disagree with some of his politics, 
but I loved the central message of the book...that "God belongs to no single 
political party and true faith transcends political categorization." My family 
has a hard time understanding how I can be Christian...and liberal. How I can 
be anti-abortion...but still pro-choice. While I find it hard to understand how 
someone can be pro-life and yet pro-death penalty. Or pro-war. As he says, the 
religious right uses a few hot-button issues to control evangelical voters into 
thinking that there is only one "right" way to vote if you are Christian. But 
God is *not* a Republican. ;-)
