Whew, been battling issues with performance all day (stoopid virus
software), but I think we're a lot more stable now.  Nothing like load
testing on a live site, LOL.

Anyways, yeah, what Jerry said above as far as how we "modified" WP.  Great
thing is exactly what we were aiming for: WP itself was not modded one bit.
All we did was write plugins for the WP machine.  One of the best things
about WP is the ability to extend functionality via "hooks and filters",
which WP provides plenty of.  And then we wrote a bunch of plugins and
widgets ourselves, modded a few from the user community, and just plain used
some thrid party widgets out of the box.

Pretty proud of the effort by the whole team.  Only took 4 months! LOL.

Oh, and Deanna, I'd be happy to share the Google plugin, but it won't do you
too much good unless you have the Google Search Appliance.  If you do have
it, I'd be more than happy to share.
