I started watching season 3 and added rented 1 and 2 between seasons. You need one and two but 3 + is when it gets much better.
My point is I gave season one to my neighbor and they got bored with it. Stick with it, it's definitely worth it. Each show from S3+ is the most intense hour you'll watch, up until the last season. Kinda weak.
