To be fair in my leadership criticism, and because Mr. Davis disgusts
me, I feel obligated to point out that 100% of California's mess was
Mr. Davis' fault.

Did energy traders at ENRON and other desks completely feck with their
energy supply?? Dang straight.

But then that's no different than Bush; traders of derivatives have
brought the economy to the brink while Bush was playing around in his
sandbox in Iraq.

Both Mr. Davis and Bush share their lack of intellectual curiousity
about things and we should now all be able to easily see how
destructive a leader can be who lacks that quality.

A good leader is watching all of the variables. He may not understand
any of them, but he knows the baseline of all of them. Because he's
hired the right people to gather, synthesize, codify, and summarize it
for him. Very likely Cold Fusion developers have helping do that.

When a variable starts to change, an intellectually curious person
can't help but dig into why.

Had Mr. Davis done that he would've been able to stop the problem
and/or escalate it to the public and to the President if necessary.

(wow, the view from this soap box is pretty good; anybody else wanna
come up here?)
