Not many people more "out" than I am, but I still think that there is
value in discretion (not that most people think I know what that is).
I don't think that Erika is selling out her values or even denying
them. Rather she is picking and choosing how she communicates them and
that seems reasonable to me. I have no doubt that she would speak up
if her beliefs were being trampled on or mischaracterized in a
situation where it was important. I took her stance to mean, quite
simply, that internet political debates just aren't important enough
for her to give a crap about it :)
