One of my key concerns is that checks and balances will go out the window because of the Democratic control of Congress, something like what happened 2005-2006. Fortunately, they only have two years and then we get to decide whether to let Democrats keep control of Congress. As for consolidation of power under Bush, I find it very intriguing that so many positive stories have been written about how secretive and disciplined the Obama campaign has been - no leaks, etc. I just read a story like that on Salon today. But isn't that the very thing that the media excoriated the Bush Administration for?
