I find all of that interesting as well. The Bush ties to big oil and the
Saudis are fairly well documented from what I have seen, and I doubt there
is an educated adult in the country who doesn't automatically associate
Cheney with Big Bad Oil.

As for Cubans, Castro is the Cuban terrorist-in-chief.

Once again, you miss the point. It isn't a scandal, but it is news. How
people judge the news is up to them. I take it from your comments that you
feared, like the liberal establishment might have feared, that Americans
were so ignorant and racist that they would never elect a guy with "Arab
ties". I disagree, I think it would have made no different in the election,
but that's irrelevant. It is the duty of the press to report and let the
viewers decide what they think, not to decide what the viewers should know.
That sounds more like Russia than the United States. In Russia, at least
journalists have the excuse that they'll get killed if they go against the
Kremlin. What is the excuse of the press in this country if they go against
the liberal establishment? There is no excuse, because by and large they ARE
the liberal establishment.
