Exactly. I agree. One would think some news organizations would investigate this to see what really happened. > As to why Odinga would claim that Obama was his cousin, I think > the obvious answer is that it raises Odinga's profile during a time > that he was trying to obtain power in Kenya. > > Of course it's to raise his profile. However, if Odinga is as power hungry as the stories seem to indicate, Obama should not allow his name to be used to raise Odinga's profile. His should put forth some effort to stop it. > > The President of Kenya at the time hates Odinga with a purple passion. > His row with Odinga turned the country into a virtual civil war before > the crisis was finally resolved. I'm sure he accused Odinga and > everyone even peripherally associated with him of a heck of a lot > worse than campaigning. > I imagine they hate each other with a purple passion. I think they both accused each other of every type of corruption imaginable. However, the accusation is interesting in the fact that Obama was with Odinga so frequently. Even if he wasn't campaigning for Odinga, the association could be made. It was not good policy since it puts Obama in the middle of a power struggle, even if he didn't want to be involved. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:280259 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
