> It's not the people it's the leadership.

Uhm, CEO's have staff... as do Presidents. Yes, it's the leadership
but in the case of a President, he's not the only part of the
leadership that has to change for the situation to change. How many
VP's and other high-level execs at BK got the pink slip the day the
new CEO walked in the door?

> But then why do you care? You didn't vote for Obama, don't support
> him, don't understand him, and are looking forward to getting
> Republicans back in office.

See, that may be one of the many places where you and I differ. You
are correct in saying that I did not vote for Obama, but you are wrong
in saying that I don't support him or don't understand him. You are
also, however, correct in saying that I'm looking forwarding to
getting Republicans (actually, conservatives and constitutionalists)
in office.

This is how this game works - Obama is going in to office. I know
this and have accepted it. I'm not one of these people that's crying
because they lost, demanding recounts or trying to go hither and yon
raising fear. Hell, the entire topic of my podcast tonight is, "Don't
Panic!" I know that there are those on my side who are, and in some
cases I agree that they should pursue their attempts however vain they
may be, but I'm not putting their chances of success that high.

What I *am* doing is continuing to voice my opinion. I'm taking note
of what was promised versus what is even attempted to be delivered.
I'm setting a watermark to ask the question when the next election
comes around in 2 years for 1/3 of the Senate and the entire Congress,
"Are you better off now than you were on Nov 16, 2008?"

There are two things that Obama's said he's going to do that impress
me - one is the YouTube address... wonderful bit of PR taken straight
from FDR's "Fireside Chats". The other is the 5 day request for
comment period before any signatures go on legislation. *That* will
be interesting to see how the comments are taken and used.

The man is the legally elected President of the United States. Now he
has to actually fill the job duties. I'm one of those that will be
watching very closely to see if he actually does.
