A powerplay exists when one team has someone the commits a penlty (like tripping,
hocking, roughing, interference). When that happens they go to the penlty box and
there team is left with only 4 players. Thus the other team has 5. A goalie will
leave the ice sometimes during a game when the other team is called for a penlty and
your team has possion of the puck. They will leave so that your team can get another
skater on the ice. Because its a delayed penlty(the haven't blown the whistle yet) as
soon as the other team touchs the puck play stops. Or they will leave at the end of
the game to get another skater on to try and tie the game up..

Yes, today is my day for game questions...

Jedi Knight 2 question - SPOILER ALERT...
.
.
.
.

I'm in the city where I need to hunt down the crime lord. I'm in the
room where, directly in front of me, is a small pond of water that is
electrocuted. How do I get upstairs?

Hockey question -

I noticed this during the olympics but never got around to asking...

a) What is a 'power play'? Why does one team get it and why it is
time-limited?
b) Why does the goalee leave the ice some times? Isn't that dangerous?
