Yep, remember the 101st at the Battle of the Bulge. They were surrounded and severely outnumbered. When the Germans asked Gen. McAuliffe to surrender due to their circumstances, he replied NUTS! And these guys pulled it off and won the battle. We are a stubborn bunch.
