Yeah, I know it was tongue in cheek, but imagine if you were having to
defend your love for your wife to the entire world, most of whom think it's
wrong and even disgusting, and I said it was on par with fucking a donkey
because I couldn't possibly fathom how you could be attracted to a woman,
even though for you it's the most natural thing in the world.

And as for the "age-old" institution... here's a link you might want to read
up on. State-sponsored marriage didn't exist until the 1600's.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marriage#History

It's just something to think about. Also, we're certainly not a segregated
society anymore, but we can be fired at any moment for being gay in (I
believe) 35 states without legal recourse, just as one example of what the
GLBT community has to deal with. So yes, I am still fighting for equality.
I'm glad you don't feel I should be persecuted (except when it comes to
marriage), but that doesn't change the fact that we are.

Um, as far as I know gays don't get paid less, don't have to use separate
water fountains, ride the back of the bus etc. From my original post I
stated I don't think gays should be persecuted. However I don't agree with
rewriting the age old social institution under which a man and woman
establish their decision to live as husband and wife.

The end bit about donkeys and xbox's was obviously (or so I thought)
tongue-in-cheek.

G doesn't seem to be that type, but you have certainly shown yourself to be
the type to compare someone's life-long struggle for equality to screwing a
donkey, so...

Try to follow along G, read the whole thread between Maureen and I. I wonder
if you might be the type to enter in the middle of a conversation and spout
the first thing that comes to mind. :(

Who said anything about ironcald or unwavering?

You said there is no benefit to be gained, I said there is....learning.

I'm starting to think maybe you are only a troll :/
