Well the newest remake being talked about is yet another movie based on a game:
It is in fact a movie based on the popular game Monopoly, being directed by Ridley Scott. And no, that's not a joke. It is actually in the works as part of a deal with Hasbro, and there are also plans for a Ouija Board movie from Michael Bay and a Battleship movie with an as-yet-unnamed director.
