LOL! That was just it. I had such a lackadaisical approach, that I was
pretty loose-aggressive in the beginning, and racked up chips before I knew
it. Later on, I made some key decisions for a lot of money, calling other
people's all ins based on, "well, I didn't really want to play anyway" and
"I need to finish 13th".

Perhaps not the wisest way to play all the time, but it took some of the
usual "I must conserve my chips and only play top hands" out of the
equation. Especially in short stack poker when the blinds start to eat you
up.

I did switch gears once I realized it was a futile effort to try and be
13th, and decided I wanted to win. It's a fun game. Looking forward to
January. :)
