I used to be obsessed with them back in my youth, and I gotta say that at least half the fun was building them. More like 3/4 of the fun really. And yes, gas is so much cooler than battery cars. They sound cooler, usually go faster, and obviously run as long as you want them to. Of course, I always had electric 'cause I couldn't afford the gas ones. That stuff gets mucho expensive what with all the add-ons and speed tweaks and special tires and customizable bodies, etc.
