Oh, how wonderful. Barbara Morgan, the Idaho schoolteacher who was the backup to Christa McAuliffe on the ill-fated Challenger space shuttle launch in 1986, has been scheduled for a shuttle flight in 2004.
She is now a full-time member of the NASA astronaut corps (although required to maintain her teaching credential).
