hell yes it is possible... i don't remember every thing, but i spent about 7 months in the hospital and another 5 at home in a body cast from the waist down. not sure what the genetic problem was, but they extracted marrow from my hip cut out about 4-5 inches of bone from my right leg inserted a pin.. and injected me with marrow and drugs...
