I do know that Airports use quite a bit of science and technology, some simple some inventive, to strongly encourage birds to *not* get in front of planes taking off and landing. I've heard of smaller airports training dogs to chase birds away from the landing strips. Also, as can be attested to yesterday, the planes *are* engineered to give the pilots every chance possible in the one in 10,000 take off when such collisions do occur. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:285135 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
