Wyeth's paintings are best viewed up close (as are most paintings).
Many are series that span decades (the Helga paintings), he liked to
study people over time. Though he was a Realist painter he was also an
interpreter of reality. He was known to paint a particular person over
the course of many years. The pictures on the website, unfortunately,
are neither representative of his full body of work, nor are they
particularly well digitized...
