I think I'd tend either towards a darker version of the blue - perhaps
#226C8C, or a lighter version of the orange - perhaps #FBE4BF. I tend
to like simple pallets, though. I definitely agree that black is
wrong. White would be wrong, too. You could maybe get away with the
darkest gray you've got in there - something like #A7A7A7. But, that
makes the overall site much more somber. I get this impression this
isn't supposed to be a somber site. If you wanted to be more colorful
and stay with the secondary color grouping, you could go with a purple
- #777EB5. That's a much more "fun" type of look.
