That is almost true.  With military aircraft, any aircraft carrying the 
President is identified to ATC as "[branch] One" so Air Force One, 
Marine One, Army One, etc.  If he's on a civilian aircraft, it is 
designated Executive One.

For the Vice President, replace One with Two and use the same naming scheme.

As far as the current "Air Force One" aircraft, there are actually two 
of them with identical outfitting.  This allows one to be in maintenance 
  while the other flies so there is never an interruption in service.
