I'm afraid that they've hit the "Lost" syndrome where they had so much acclaim early on that now nobody will say "that's really, really stupid". Well... so far a lot of this has been really, really stupid. It's in that vein of "Hey, what if we do THAT! Nobody would expect THAT!"... OF COURSE NOBODY WOULD EXPECT THAT: IT'S FUCKING RETARDED! What they've done to that poor timeline should be a crime against fiction. As far as I can tell they've cut off every possible reasonable explanation for everything they've done. I'm still watching... but I'm getting less and less hopeful. Although even with all my over-reaching story-arc complaints I still think it's one of the best filmed, best-acted shows on television.
