There seems to be some concern that it's a "bad" move in that it might influence some executives to leave these companies and go elsewhere, leaving the company in worse trouble than it was: "If you have someone who was making well over $1 million, and now they are capped at $500,000, it is very conceivable that they are going to look to go to a company that is not subject to those limitations." I say... if you're making well over $1 million and your company is in such bad shape that you require a government bailout to keep your doors open... then you didn't deserve to be making well over $1 million in the first place. Hell I'm pretty sure that I could do the job for well less than $1 million a year and have the company in a position where it needs a gov't bailout to keep the doors open. -- I have failed as much as I have succeeded.
