Yeah - that was my first impression as well. I'm not sure, if given the choice, if I would choose to start that late. I'm 37 and have a 10 and 6 year old... and it's a challenge. Of course, full disclosure, I'm also a big fat bastard. There are definitely (many) 44 year olds that can kick my ass. At the same time if I were already expecting at 44 I'm not sure I would get that worried either. You might want to start (if you're not already) whipping your ass into shape for it.
