Well, China is not sending things over here that blow us up. China is
not sending people over here to show these people how to use the things
they send over here to blow us up. China is not threatening to wipe
Israel off the face of the earth. China is not calling for the Islamic
world to stand against us. China does not kidnap our US diplomats and
lock them up for a few years. China has their own set of problems sure,
and their human rights record leaves a hell of a lot to be desired. But
I do not feel threatened by China. To me they are a sleeping dog. Leave
them be.
And no, Iran has not turned Israel into a nuclear wasteland YET, because
Iran does not yet have a nuclear weapon (at least none that we know of).
I do not want to wait until the day they do to see if they would
actually use it. They showed that they are not afraid to use chemical
and biological weapons. They did that against Iraq during their war. I
am all for letting sleeping dogs lay, but when the dog begins to bark, I
start to become concerned.
But you never answered my question. In fact, no one has yet to answer
the question of how long do you give diplomacy to work until you realize
that it is not, and then you need to take it up a notch? When is talking
over and time to take action begins? Because if you all had your way, we
would still be talking to Saddam Hussein while he constantly defies UN
orders not to shoot at our planes, not to use the oil for food program
to line his pockets, and to stop killing his own people. Which brings me
back to my opinion on the UN. Several of their resolutions were broke,
with no consequences. We spent over 8 years "talking" to Saddam. Yeah
Clinton sent some missiles over there and in Afghanistan a few times,
but that was usually a wag the dog situation, not because he actually
meant to be tough. So can you answer that? I answer your questions but
all you do is come back with more questions. We can go around and around
all day like this. All I want is a very simple, clear, to the point
answer. When do you stop talking and start shooting? It should not be a
hard answer really. If you come back with more questions and no answers,
then I guess we are done talking and I am done with this thread.
