Good to know.

What network is LimeWire on? Is it on the same network as BearShare?

How is it's search capability? If I remember right, the search form
looks exactly like the one in Napster, doesn't it?

What type of user community exists? Do people download from you, yet
publish nothing? Do people cut you off while downloading?

And finally, can you choose results that aren't firewalled and are high
bandwidth? I seem to remember a lot of "failed" downloads when I checked
it out a while ago.

Thanks for info,

yes, same network - gnutella. They're on v.2.3.3 now - very nice
looking. Search is great. You can tell the client how many files
that you want the downloader to have before they can download from you,
so that it's not all one way. They've also added the old napster-style
'close when xfers are finished' so that if i'm ready to shut down, i can
click that, but it's not gonna cut you off, and it won't allow anymore
connections... You can filter by speed, size, ip, name, etc. And
Resume works ok as well. Check out the forums on gnutelliums.com and
find the 'clean' version, if you don't wanna spend the $8.50 - it's not
as bad as kazaa, but the trial version for windows has been known to
install a yuck or two.
