I think you give the general population more credit than me.  I would
be suprised if 39% could find New York on a map of the US, much less
do math slightly more advanced than 2+2.  I'd bet less than 39% could
explain how the 3 branches of government work, or what a black hole
is.  Ask who the finalists are for American Idol, however, and that
percentage is significantly higher.  In general, about science and
math and "school stuff", people are dumb.

I think 39%'s not bad, all things considered.  I just hope the
registered voters come from that 39% and not "the rest".
