that said, my MythTV box is kicking some ass! I think I won my wife over completely the other day when bad storms blew in, knocking out our DirecTv, and we were still able to watch tv because of mythtv. Plus OTA hd in my area is about 10x better than satellite hd.
Right now, I've only got a frontend/backend machine set up in my media room using the projector. I'd been joking with my wife that it was now "my TV only". She never said anything until she watched one of her shows on it. Then she told me that it was "her TV only" and said I could borrow it if none of her shows were on. Now, I've got to get some more frontends build so we can kill the satellite fees.
