This is what's fascinating to me.  People think our leaders are not to
blame.  That our President is not to blame.

That concept is truly astonishing to me.

I have to believe that when enough people don't expect leaders to
lead, and don't hold them accountable for results, that failure and/or
collapse is near.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know this:

if I can take $100,000 and legally underwrite $100,000,000 of risk -as
I can today - and if there's no consequence for me going under (I get
to keep any millions I've borrowed) that that's a system bound to
fail.

There's nothing complicated about that.  And Bush was warned for YEARS
about this problem and did nothing.  Just as he was warned for months
about a 9/11-style attack and did nothing.

It's failure of leadership Scott.
