A cynical person might say there's some great reasons for that: 1.) The Fed has no congressional oversight 2.) $2.5 billion has already been committed and there's no transparency to it. 3.) If the privatization plan works, a lot of people will make a lot of money and they'll owe it all to Obama and Geithner.
