Hey! I've been made to feel included in something in which I'm not even
reasonably involved!

Anyway - we saw "Paul Blart: Mall Cop". It's not good. It's not bad either,
but it's not good. Just plain-jane, utterly formula, completely innocuous
comedy. Some giggles, a bunch of groans and a few laughs predictable, but
still somewhat satisfying laughs.

In any case as we're watching the movie both my lovely and I kept saying
"Something looks familiar?" and "Who is that?" We couldn't put our finger
on it.

Then in the credits there's a big "Thank You" and a "Filmed on Location at
the Burlington Mall, Burlington MA". That's the mall we used to go to!
(When we lived in Boston - in the movie the Mall is supposed to be in NJ.)

Everything fell into place... YES! That's the "Rainforest Café" we went to!
That's the food court! That's the crazy little cripple ramp and stairs and
fountain and ballpit and bank!

Yeah. We're easily amused.

But we get to throw this on the pile with other movies that (we've seen and)
have had scenes in places we've been. "Tootsie" (Hurley Mountain Inn),
"Blown Away" (big scene in front of one of our apartment buildings in
Boston), "Road to Wellville" (Mohawk Mountain House), "Bruce Almightly"
(several places in Buffalo), "Good Will Hunting" (several little places in
Boston), "Fever Pitch" (again, several locations in Boston - including a
long, background shot of my favorite comic shop).

Not all of these were particularly good... but I've got a soft-spot for them
anyway.

So... what movies do you look forward to just because they have scenes or
mention someplace you know? ;^)
