In 2000, 149 people at Merrill Lynch got $3 million each in salary. Total bonuses were $3.6 billion Peter Krauss, who came to Merrill with Thain from Goldman left 5 months later with a $35 million bonus. In 2006, 400 people at Merrill got $260 million each 2007 Wall Street bonuses were $30 billion - SCHIP cost $5B. During the last 16 years, Wall Street has gained $300 Billion dollars in wealth.
