Yeah, I did that when I was hosting. I had a few clients as I was just 
getting started (these clients were ones who I developed their sites and 
hosted them). When I was activated for my last deployment, I let them 
know a couple months in advance, helped them find a suitable host and 
got them connected with a friend of mine to maintain/upgrade their sites 
in my absence, and even moved their sites to their new host, all for 
free. Best part is when I got back from my deployment, they came to me 
for more upgrades/maintenance. It is all about good customer service AND 
not burning bridges.
