Do you have PocketPC 2002 on your iPAQ? It requires ActiveSync 3.5 which can
be downloaded from MS.

I was running ActiveSync 3.1 on Win2k Workstation under the original
PocketPC OS but had to switch to 3.5 when I upgraded the iPAQ.

If it's really hung up, go into Processes and kill the process WCESMgr.exe
which is ActiveSync.
