Why?  If a team will take him, why should he not be allowed to continue his
chosen career?  To take that away from him would constitute cruel and
unusual punishment.
If a cab driver were convicted of the same crime would you advocate that he
not be allowed to drive a cab any longer?

I have no doubt that he will play in the NFL somewhere next season.  I also
have no doubt that people will fill the stadium to see him play.  The only
people with worse memories than the American voter is the American football
fan.
