Don't count out Fuji Film, I've had a few different brands (including the
CoolPix), and have been the most satisfied with Fuji. Like this one:

You will definitely thank yourself for getting a smaller camera. When it's
smaller, you tend to get more pictures overall because you don't have to
contemplate on bringing it wherever you go. "Am I really going to need
pictures on this hiking trip?" Of course you will!

If you're into really really small gadgetry, here's a 1.3 MegaPixel the size

No flash, and probably not very feature rich (no lcd screen etc). Although
you could probably get this in addition to your other camera at that
pricepoint: $130.
