So... Set up a new home office...with al ovely desk. BUt one that was enclosed.
So I put my CPU under the desk...and found that it was blowing a LOT of hot air...that was being trapped beneath the desk. Made an appointment for the moving guy to come back to sort it ou, but he didn't show up. This morning...all of a sudden...my screen went blank...and Vista popped a Display Driver alert message. Then I restarted the machine...and when it restarted there was flashing red goobeledy gook characters on the screen. Reboot...reboot...started up a game...Gibberish characters...big triangles..all sorts of mess. So....one card fried, due to heat. So I pulled it from the system and now just have one. It was a great SLI setup too...two 8800GTX cards. served me well. Now I'm down to one...and the 8800GTX is getting a bit long in the tooth for the latest games at 1920 x 1200. *sigh*. And normally..I'm so careful. It just really sucks that it had to happen. So..anyways. Be very very careful with heat and your system :-\ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:290927 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
