Sounds reasonable to me. The effort to unravel the economic mess we
are in is certainly super-human and I'm ok with Obama being strained
and sleepless and overly focused on domestic affairs at the moment. In
fact, I'd be quite worried if it were otherwise. I may not think much
of the previous occupant of the White House but I have no illusions
that he didn't solve the situation because he was totally slacking off
and the fix is really quite easy. No, Obama is up for one of the most
difficult Presidential first terms in a couple generations.

Given the financial problems in Great Britain, I'm guessing that Prime
Minister Brown has some understanding of the situation as well and
that the people that have their noses bent out of shape about a gift
of DVD's do not include Prime Minister Brown. Diplomatic protocol is
important but getting shit done is more important. I'm sure that all
of the "conservatives" who decried Obama's "liberal elitism" will be
cheered by his focus on issues instead of protocol.
