I _love_ the fact that he angers the inmates and bleeding hearts to the
point that he is sued.

Even with those suits, my understanding is his per-inmate costs are less
than the cost in most other jurisdictions.

And his recidivism rate is lower than in other jurisdictions. Folks don't
want to go back.

Many of those suits that were settled were settled by county lawyers who do
_not_ agree with his approach, and agree more often with the criminals.

And quoting someone who doesn't even use his name, but a derogatory slang
term instead, makes me shake my head and ask for a better source.

This is not to say he doesn't at times go overboard. He needs to be watched
closely because he lives closer to the edge than most jail overseers. And
any time he crosses a sharp line, he should be corrected.

But just as I like what he is trying to do (although not always _how_), so
do his electorate.
