Yes and there are some people that think the Earth is flat. *shrug* The outliers are just that. Outliers. And therefore should not be used to judge the rest. The problem, of course, is identifying what really are outliers and what represents a batshitinsane large minority.
In this case, however, I think we can safely say that the bulk of union members here and in France are not in favor of kidnapping. At the very least I think we can reasonably say that of the U.S. I am not so intimately familiar with France.
